Karenza Paperie All About Us

Update - we finally have a permanent address back in Ashford, Kent so once lockdown is over and everything is back to normal we have plans for new cards and goodies!

Unbelievably we launched Karenza Paperie in March 2011.  The reason I started the 'plunge' into being self employed and running my own business was a career change due to needing an operation and many months of physio.  After 18 months research we were ready to go! With an old table to work from, one box of stock and our own hand built website.  My main aims were to be an online boutique with family based values which the whole family could be part of it, and which would be varied and interesting work to keep me busy.

We have come a long, long way since then and we have over one hundred suppliers, thousands of customers here in the UK and abroad and five years experience selling on Amazon.  We have also moved house four times  (so 4 different home offices so far!) and the family are busy with careers so its just the one of me now.

But... we are still in Kent - just now in a village with a lovely local post office to use, our same family values remain as do our customers, some of which have been loyal for the full  9 years!  All of the orders are posted in our little village post office so when you buy from us you also help them to continue running and we all know how important a post office is in a village.

In 2016 I took the very hard decision to leave Amazon as a marketplace seller after 5 years as I decided that sadly being part of a large corporation with new rules was not for us.  I am far happier now back as a completely independant company without rules, fads and commissions to consider as I can now focus on the cards I love the most and our customers.

A tremendous thank you to all of our customers whether if you have been with us from the start or if you are trying us for the very first time!

And finally..... why Karenza?  Well as a homage to home (I am living a long way from my hometown!)  Karenza is a Cornish word meaning Love.... what could be more apt!

Love Karenza x
